Free CTA button text checker
Paste the text on your main call-to-action button. You get an instant score, what's weak about it and rewrites to try. It runs in your browser, so nothing is sent anywhere, and there's no sign-up.
What to fix
Rewrites to try
The button is one part of the page. PageCritic audits your whole live page (headline, CTA, proof, mobile, speed) and gives you a score and your top 3 fixes, free.
How the score works
The checker applies the rules that most often separate buttons people click from buttons they skip. It's a set of transparent heuristics, not an AI, so treat it as a checklist, not a verdict:
- Action (30%): starts with a verb the visitor does ("Get", "Start", "Try"), not a noun or a form verb ("Submit", "Click here").
- Specificity (30%): names what they get ("Get my free report"), not a generic step ("Continue", "Learn more").
- Length (20%): 2–5 words, under about 30 characters, so it fits a phone screen on one line.
- Low friction (20%): answers the fear of committing, in the button ("free", "my") or right under it ("No credit card required").
