Free headline analyzer for landing pages
Paste the main headline from your homepage or landing page. You get an instant score and a list of what to fix. It runs in your browser, so nothing is sent anywhere, and there's no sign-up.
Optional: add your subheadline on a second line.
What to fix
A headline is one part of the page. PageCritic audits your whole live page (headline, CTA, proof, mobile, speed) and gives you a score and your top 3 fixes, free.
How the score works
The analyzer applies the rules that most often separate clear landing page headlines from vague ones. It's a set of transparent heuristics, not an AI, so treat it as a checklist, not a verdict:
- Clarity (30%): no empty buzzwords ("seamless", "next-gen", "revolutionary"), no category-only phrases ("the platform for…"), plain words.
- Specificity (25%): numbers, timeframes and concrete nouns beat adjectives. "Close your books in 2 days" beats "Faster accounting".
- Visitor focus (20%): talks about "you" and the outcome, not "we" and the company.
- Length (15%): roughly 4–12 words and under about 70 characters, so it reads in one glance and fits the first screen on a phone.
- Form (10%): no ALL CAPS, no exclamation marks, no trailing ellipsis.
