gymshark.com homepage teardown: 53/100
Landing page examples › Ecommerce › gymshark.com
The hero leads with a brand slogan ("SOFTSENSE™") and a fabric description instead of saying what Gymshark sells, and a cookie banner covers the whole first screen.
We ran gymshark.com through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 53/100, #9 of the 9 ecommerce landing page examples we scored (average 61) and #77 of all 79 homepages in our ranked list. Its strongest area is Mobile (87), and its weakest is Clarity (35).
Audited on 2026-10-24 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and gymshark.com didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. Hero headline is a slogan, not a result
"SOFTSENSE™" with "Our new premium, super soft fabric that responds to your movement in the moment" names a material, not what the shopper gets, so a first-time visitor has no reason to stay.
Fix: Replace the hero with a headline that states the outcome, e.g. "Gym clothes that move with you", and put the SoftSense™ name in the subheadline or as a small eyebrow label.
2. No reason to pick Gymshark over others
The only differentiator on the first screen is an unsupported claim; "Since 2012, we've designed and created the workout clothes we want to wear" sits far below the fold, so the hero offers no reason to choose this brand.
Fix: Add a short line under the hero headline such as "Designed by lifters since 2012, tested in the weight room", placed directly above the buttons.
3. No social proof visible
Visitors arriving at a store page see no ratings, review counts or customer numbers, which leaves trust unestablished at the moment of first impression.
Fix: Add a rating or review line (for example star rating and review count from your reviews app) near the hero or the first product row.
