senja.io homepage teardown: 74/100
A bold meta-strategy of leading with a customer quote builds immediate credibility, but buries product clarity and pushes the mobile CTA dangerously low.
We ran senja.io through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 74/100, #2 of the 10 indie hacker landing page examples we scored (average 70) and #12 of all 70 homepages in our ranked list. Its strongest area is Trust (92), and its weakest is Mobile (64).
Audited on 2026-10-18 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and senja.io didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. Inverted visual hierarchy obscures what Senja actually is
The Jay Clouse quote ('I’ve already seen a tangible impact on revenue...') visually dominates as a massive display headline, while the actual product definition ('Meet Senja. The easiest way to gather customer testimonials...') is formatted like tiny body text. New visitors learn *that someone loves it* before they understand *what it does*.
Fix: Flip the priority or balance it: give 'Turn customer love into high-converting social proof' true H1 visual dominance, and reposition the Jay Clouse quote as a supporting pull-quote badge above the headline.
2. Mobile hero stack creates extreme vertical bloat
On mobile, stacking the top banner, the giant 5-line quote, author attribution, subheadline, and a 3-bullet checklist pushes the primary CTA button ('Start for free today') nearly off-screen. Users see a wall of text with zero product visual context.
Fix: Truncate or hide the 3 checklist bullets on mobile viewports under 600px, tighten the quote line-height, and pull the primary CTA up into the immediate first screen.
3. Missing risk-reversal microcopy directly beneath the primary CTA
The button says 'Start for free today', but users do not know if this is a 7-day trial, a freemium tier, or if a credit card is required upfront. Friction remains high right at the point of decision.
Fix: Add a crisp trust line directly below the button: 'Free forever plan • No credit card required • 2-minute setup'.
What the senja.io homepage does well
- Using a quantified revenue quote ('tangible impact on revenue and conversion') from an authoritative founder (Jay Clouse) sets exceptional initial social credibility.
- The 20,000+ customer micro-proof and genuine avatar stack directly tackle early-stage trust hurdles for SaaS buyers.
- The 3-part workflow value proposition ('Collect', 'Find', 'Share') cleanly maps to real customer pain points and everyday workflows.
