softr.io homepage teardown: 63/100
A sleek, modern hero that sacrifices core conversion fundamentals by hiding its primary call-to-action inside an ambiguous AI prompt box.
We ran www.softr.io through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 63/100, #11 of the 11 no-code tool landing page examples we scored (average 69) and #63 of all 70 homepages in our ranked list. Its strongest area is Design (78), and its weakest is CTA (46).
Audited on 2026-10-18 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and softr.io didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. Hero lacks a direct, low-friction primary CTA button
Neither desktop nor mobile hero has a traditional primary CTA button (like 'Start for free' or 'Get Started'). Instead, action is deferred to a prompt input box with a low-contrast grey 'Build >' button or the top-right nav bar.
Fix: Add a prominent high-contrast CTA button (e.g., 'Start Building Free') below the subhead or make the prompt input's 'Build' button high-contrast with clear risk-reversal microcopy ('Free forever • No credit card required').
2. Zero trust or social proof elements above the fold
The page facts reveal impressive metrics ('Loved by 1 million+ teams', 'Minerva Network increased athlete registrations by 5x', 'SOC 2', 'GDPR Ready'), yet none of this is visible ATF. First-time visitors see no customer logos, badges, or review ratings.
Fix: Add a tight social proof strip immediately beneath the prompt box ATF: 'Trusted by 1,000,000+ teams worldwide' alongside 4-5 recognized client logos and G2/Capterra rating badges.
3. Mobile viewport buries conversion options
On mobile, the navigation's 'Start for free' button collapses into the hamburger menu. The only interactable ATF element is the AI prompt mockup with truncated chips ('Knowledge I...') and a tiny grey 'Build >' target that looks disabled.
Fix: Implement a persistent sticky header CTA or bottom floating bar on mobile with 'Start for Free', and widen the 'Build' tap target with full-width primary button styling.
What the softr.io homepage does well
- Clean, modern minimalist design aesthetic with subtle grid lines that instantly communicates software craftsmanship.
- The H1 headline ('Build secure portals and internal tools, no developer required.') clearly identifies the product category and primary target audience.
- The interactive prompt box offers a zero-friction mental model of how simple building with AI can be.
