allbirds.com homepage teardown: 59/100
Landing page examples › Ecommerce › allbirds.com
The hero shouts a slogan, "Wildly Comfortable. Super Natural.", while a 10% email pop-up covers the headline and the shopping buttons, so visitors learn nothing about what Allbirds sells or why it's worth buying.
We ran allbirds.com through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 59/100, #5 of the 9 ecommerce landing page examples we scored (average 61) and #66 of all 79 homepages in our ranked list. Its strongest area is Design (90), and its weakest is Value prop (20).
Audited on 2026-10-24 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and allbirds.com didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. Headline is a slogan, not a result
"Wildly Comfortable. Super Natural." says nothing concrete about the product or outcome, so a first-time visitor cannot tell what they would get from buying here.
Fix: Replace the hero line with a concrete result, for example "Shoes that feel like slippers, made from merino wool", and keep the slogan as a smaller tagline.
2. No specific benefit stated up front
The only offer language is a shipping delay notice in the top bar ("orders may take up to 30 days to ship"), which reads as a negative before any upside is given.
Fix: Put a clear benefit line under the headline, such as "Free ground shipping on orders over $100 and free returns", and move the 30-day delay notice out of the most prominent position.
3. No reason to choose Allbirds over others
The page says it replaces petroleum-based synthetics, but that point is buried in the lower body copy, far below the first screen where the decision starts.
Fix: Add a short differentiator under the hero such as "Made with merino wool, eucalyptus and sugarcane instead of petroleum-based synthetics".
What the allbirds.com homepage does well
- The "SHOP MEN" and "SHOP WOMEN" buttons sit in the first screen on desktop and phone, so the main action is visible without scrolling.
- "SHOP MEN" and "SHOP WOMEN" say exactly what the visitor will get, which makes the next step clear.
- The meta description promises "FREE shipping & returns" and the footer links a refund policy, which lowers the perceived risk of buying.
