calendly.com homepage teardown: 65/100
Landing page examples › SaaS › calendly.com
The headline "All the work around meetings, handled." is a polished slogan that never says what Calendly does or for whom, and a cookie banner covers the first screen on desktop and phone.
We ran calendly.com through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 65/100, #9 of the 11 SaaS landing page examples we scored (average 70) and #50 of all 79 homepages in our ranked list. Its strongest area is Mobile (100), and its weakest is Clarity (35).
Audited on 2026-10-24 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and calendly.com didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. No stated audience in the hero
Nothing in the first screen says who Calendly is for. Visitors have to scroll to the 'Built for people whose work runs on meetings' section to learn whether it fits their job, so many bounce before they decide it is relevant.
Fix: Name the audience in the subheadline, for example: "Scheduling, follow-ups and meeting notes for consultants, founders and sales teams." Replace "From AI-powered scheduling to automated meeting recaps and follow-ups" with wording that names a role.
2. Headline is a slogan, not a result
"All the work around meetings, handled." sounds nice but promises no measurable outcome such as time saved or no-shows reduced. Visitors cannot tell what they will gain.
Fix: Lead with an outcome the page already proves elsewhere, such as "Stop losing hours to meeting admin" or "Cut no-shows and book meetings without the email back-and-forth".
3. Reason to pick Calendly over alternatives is missing
The first screen never explains why this tool beats doing scheduling by hand or using another booking app. The only differentiator, "fewer tools and less effort", is generic.
Fix: Add one concrete differentiator under the headline, for example "One place for booking, reminders, payments and meeting notes, in the calendar you already use", and point it at the Google and Microsoft calendar sign-ups.
What the calendly.com homepage does well
- The headline is short, large (72 px) and centred, so it is the first thing the eye reads.
- A sign-up button sits in the first screen on both desktop and phone, so the main action is visible without scrolling.
- The dark "Sign up with Microsoft" button has strong contrast (15.77:1) against the pale background and stands out clearly.
