framer.com homepage teardown: 68/100

Landing page examples › No-code › framer.com

The headline names Framer as a 'pro website builder with a world-class design agent' but never says who it is for or what outcome the visitor gets, so the first screen reads as a product label rather than a promise.

We ran www.framer.com through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 68/100, #9 of the 11 no-code tool landing page examples we scored (average 71) and #43 of all 79 homepages in our ranked list. Its strongest area is Mobile (93), and its weakest is Value prop (33).

Audited on 2026-10-24 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and framer.com didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes

1. No audience named on the first screen

The headline and subheadline never say who Framer is for. 'Any type of site' is the closest thing, so a freelancer, agency or startup founder has to work out whether this is for them.

Fix: Name a specific audience in the subheadline, for example replace 'Free to start for any type of site.' with 'Built for designers, agencies and startups who want to launch a site without writing code.'

2. Why Framer over others is missing

Nothing on the first screen compares Framer to Webflow, Wix or other builders or gives a reason to pick it. 'Pro' and 'world-class' are claims, not reasons.

Fix: Add one concrete reason in the subheadline, such as the canvas-based agent edits that stay editable, and name what it replaces, for example 'Unlike template builders, every agent change stays editable on the canvas.'

3. Features listed instead of benefits

The first screen describes the product (agent, canvas, hosting, CMS, analytics, SEO, AEO) without saying what the visitor gains, such as launching faster or keeping control of content.

Fix: Rewrite the subheadline around the outcome: 'Launch a site in an afternoon, then edit every change yourself, with hosting and SEO included.'
