linear.app homepage teardown: 56/100
Landing page examples › SaaS › linear.app
The headline names a category, "The product development system for teams and agents", but never says who it is for or what result it delivers, while the first screen spreads attention across a dozen controls and a product screenshot.
We ran linear.app through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 56/100, #11 of the 11 SaaS landing page examples we scored (average 70) and #72 of all 79 homepages in our ranked list. Its strongest area is Mobile (87), and its weakest is Value prop (33).
Audited on 2026-10-24 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and linear.app didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. No audience named
Nothing in the hero says who Linear is for; "teams and agents" is abstract and a visitor cannot tell if this is for their role or company.
Fix: Name the buyer in the subheadline, e.g. replace "Purpose-built for planning and building products. Designed for the AI era." with a line naming product teams and engineering leads, such as "For product and engineering teams shipping with AI agents."
2. No specific benefit stated
The hero promises a system but not an outcome like faster shipping or fewer status meetings, so there is no reason to act now.
Fix: Add a measurable or concrete outcome to the subheadline, for example "Plan, build and ship faster with agents that take issues from idea to pull request."
3. What the product is stays vague
"Purpose-built" and "Designed for the AI era" are slogans; the visitor has to guess that this is an issue tracker.
Fix: Say the category plainly in the subheadline: "Linear is an issue tracker and planning tool for product teams, with built-in AI agents."
What the linear.app homepage does well
- The desktop first screen has a clear light "Sign up" button in the header, and the phone view keeps it visible next to Log in.
- The footer links to contact, about, privacy and terms, so visitors can verify the company behind the product.
- Sections are clearly headed (Intake and integrations, Planning and monitoring, AI and automations) and paragraphs are short, so the page scans well.
