liquiddeath.com homepage teardown: 60/100
Landing page examples › Ecommerce › liquiddeath.com
A signup modal covers the entire first screen and the hero headline is a brand slogan, so a visitor can't tell what Liquid Death sells or what they gain before a pop-up blocks everything.
We ran liquiddeath.com through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 60/100, #4 of the 9 ecommerce landing page examples we scored (average 61) and #65 of all 79 homepages in our ranked list. Its strongest area is Mobile (87), and its weakest is Clarity (35).
Audited on 2026-10-24 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and liquiddeath.com didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. No audience named in the hero
The headline "EASY-DRINKING ENERGY FOR PEOPLE-DRINKING VAMPIRES" is playful but never says who the drink is for in plain terms, so a shopper scanning the first screen cannot tell if it fits their needs.
Fix: Add a subheadline under the hero that names the buyer, e.g. "Lower-sugar energy and sparkling water for people who want a real kick without the crash."
2. Headline is a slogan, not a result
"EASY-DRINKING ENERGY FOR PEOPLE-DRINKING VAMPIRES" is a joke about the brand; it promises no outcome, so the visitor has no reason to stay.
Fix: Keep the brand voice but state the payoff: replace the hero with a line such as "Energy with less sugar and a real kick" and move the vampire joke into the subheadline.
3. Product category only guessable
The first screen shows the words BEVERAGES and MERCH and a hero of cans, but the words "energy drink" appear only in the headline's fine print; a visitor may think it is a merch or lifestyle brand.
Fix: State the category in plain words near the top, e.g. "Canned energy drinks, sparkling water and iced tea" beneath the headline.
What the liquiddeath.com homepage does well
- The headline is five words set large at 60 px, so it is short and prominent on the hero.
- A SHOP NOW button appears in the first screen on both desktop and phone, so the primary action is present.
- Contact, about, privacy and terms links are all present, which shows a real company behind the brand.
