loom.com homepage teardown: 69/100
Landing page examples › SaaS › loom.com
Loom's hero leads with a slogan, "One video is worth a thousand words", and pushes the actual offer into a subheadline, so a first-time visitor doesn't learn what they get in the first glance.
We ran loom.com through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 69/100, #7 of the 11 SaaS landing page examples we scored (average 70) and #37 of all 79 homepages in our ranked list. Its strongest area is Mobile (100), and its weakest is Value prop (33).
Audited on 2026-10-24 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and loom.com didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. Headline is a slogan, not a result
"One video is worth a thousand words" is a generic proverb that could sit on any video tool's page. Visitors have to read the subheadline before they know what Loom does for them.
Fix: Replace the proverb with a concrete result the visitor wants, for example "Replace long meetings and emails with a 2-minute video", and keep the current subheadline as support.
2. AI summary doesn't match the headline
An AI reading the page summarises it around the AI-powered video messaging subheadline, not the proverb. The headline therefore doesn't carry the page's meaning for search, previews or assistants.
Fix: Make the H1 name the product category and benefit (for example "Record and share video messages that replace meetings and long emails") so headline and summary agree.
3. No reason to pick Loom over alternatives
Nothing in the first screen explains why Loom beats Zoom, Vidyard or a plain Slack message. Visitors with several tabs open have no tie-breaker to act on.
Fix: Add one differentiator line under the subheadline, such as the single-click Chrome recording and instant shareable link, or the 400,000-company adoption as a reason to trust the choice.
What the loom.com homepage does well
- The subheadline "Easily record and share AI-powered video messages with your teammates and customers" states plainly what the product is.
- The blue "Get Loom for free" button has 5.2:1 contrast and is 57 px tall, so it clearly stands out from the white hero.
- Named testimonials from known leaders such as Alexis Ohanian and Katie Burke add credible social proof further down the page.
