nomadlist.com homepage teardown: 53/100
Landing page examples › Indie › nomadlist.com
The page has a clear offer and a real signup form, but the hero headline "Find your people" is a slogan, and the main signup button is buried beside a form with a second low-value link, so the first screen has no single, obvious action.
We ran nomadlist.com through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 53/100, #9 of the 9 indie hacker landing page examples we scored (average 72) and #76 of all 79 homepages in our ranked list. Its strongest area is Mobile (73), and its weakest is CTA (7).
Audited on 2026-10-24 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and nomadlist.com didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. Headline is a slogan, not a result
"🌍 Find your people" says nothing about what the visitor gets. Visitors scanning the hero must read the subheadline to understand the value, and many will bounce before doing so.
Fix: Replace the slogan with a result-stating headline such as "Find your next city and the people already living there" and move "Find your people" into the subheadline or badge.
2. No reason to choose this one
Nothing on the first screen explains why Nomads.com beats other communities or city guides. "#1 Nomad Community" is a bare claim without a basis.
Fix: Add one differentiator line under the subheadline, for example "Cost, internet speed and safety data for 100+ cities, plus members on the ground right now", backed by the numbers already on the page.
3. No button in the first screen on desktop or phone
The signup button "Join Nomads.com free →" is in the form, but the measured first-screen button check found none, so the action is not clearly recognised as a button.
Fix: Make "Join Nomads.com free →" a full-width, high-contrast primary button directly under the hero text, and keep the email field clearly tied to it.
What the nomadlist.com homepage does well
- The subheadline "Join a free (!) global community of digital nomads living and traveling around the world" states clearly what the product is.
- The subheadline names the audience directly: digital nomads living and traveling around the world.
- "Attend 194 meetups/year in 100+ cities" gives a concrete, checkable benefit near the top of the page.
