synthesia.io homepage teardown: 86/100
Landing page examples › AI › synthesia.io
The hero says what Synthesia is and has a strong CTA, but the headline names a category rather than a result or an audience, and a banner plus a navigation bar of 15 links crowd the first screen.
We ran synthesia.io through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 86/100, #1 of the 9 AI startup landing page examples we scored (average 70) and #2 of all 79 homepages in our ranked list. Its strongest area is Value prop (100), and its weakest is Design (50).
Audited on 2026-10-24 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and synthesia.io didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. No audience named in the hero
The first screen says 'AI Video and Avatar platform for business' and 'Trusted by 90% of the Fortune 100', but never says which roles or teams (L&D, sales, HR) the product is for, so visitors must scroll to find out if it fits them.
Fix: Name a buyer in the subheadline, e.g. change 'Create studio-quality videos with AI avatars and voiceovers in 140+ languages.' to 'For L&D, HR and sales teams: create studio-quality training and sales videos with AI avatars in 140+ languages.'
2. Headline names a category, not a result
'AI Video and Avatar platform for business' describes what the product is, not what the visitor gets. Visitors scanning the hero have no outcome to anchor on.
Fix: Lead with the outcome the page already claims, such as 'Make training videos in minutes, not weeks' or cut the category wording to a benefit, and keep the product name in the subheadline.
3. An AI summary reads the headline only partly
The page's own AI summary describes Synthesia as the '#1 AI Video Platform for Business' and mentions studios, cameras and actors, but the H1 never states the benefit, so an AI reader gets a partial picture of the offer.
Fix: Put the outcome and the audience into the H1 or the first paragraph, e.g. 'Turn documents into training and sales videos with AI avatars, in 140+ languages', so the headline and summary match.
What the synthesia.io homepage does well
- The H1 'AI Video and Avatar platform for business' states plainly what the product is, so a visitor knows within seconds that this is an AI video tool.
- The benefit 'Save up to 90% of time and cost on video production' is concrete and quantified, and it appears close to the top of the page.
- The filled dark 'Get started for free' button is the most prominent element in the hero, with high contrast and a clear label, so the primary action is easy to find.
