vercel.com homepage teardown: 65/100
Landing page examples › SaaS › vercel.com
Vercel's hero reads as a two-word slogan, "Agentic Infrastructure", with no result or offer, so a visitor has to scroll and guess what they get.
We ran vercel.com through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 65/100, #8 of the 11 SaaS landing page examples we scored (average 70) and #49 of all 79 homepages in our ranked list. Its strongest area is Mobile (93), and its weakest is Value prop (33).
Audited on 2026-10-24 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and vercel.com didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. Headline is a slogan, not a result
"Agentic Infrastructure" names a category but promises no outcome, so a visitor cannot tell what they will gain from staying.
Fix: Rewrite the h1 to state a result, e.g. "Ship agents and apps to production in minutes", and move the category name into the subheadline.
2. No reason to pick this one
Nothing on the first screen explains why Vercel rather than another host; the only justification sits in customer logos.
Fix: Add a short differentiator line under the headline, such as "Sandboxed VMs, durable backends and 400+ models in one platform", using the page's own feature claims.
3. Product type is guessable
Visitors must infer from "For coding agents to deploy" what Vercel actually sells, which slows the decision.
Fix: Name the product plainly in the first screen, e.g. "Vercel is the hosting platform for apps and AI agents", directly under the h1.
What the vercel.com homepage does well
- The two-word h1 is large, at 64 px, and sits left of the logo mark, so it is the first thing the eye reads.
- The black "Deploy now" button has 17.18:1 contrast against the off-white background and stands out clearly from the outline secondary button.
- The Meta, DoorDash, OpenAI, SpaceX and Polymarket logos sit right under the hero, so recognizable customers are visible before any scrolling.
