cal.com homepage teardown: 75/100
Landing page examples › SaaS › cal.com
The headline "The better way to schedule your meetings" is a slogan that names no concrete result, and the first screen hands visitors three competing actions, one of them a generic "Sign up with Google".
We ran cal.com through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 75/100, #3 of the 11 SaaS landing page examples we scored (average 70) and #15 of all 79 homepages in our ranked list. Its strongest area is Trust (100), and its weakest is Clarity (60).
Audited on 2026-10-24 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and cal.com didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. Headline is a slogan, not a result
"The better way to schedule your meetings" claims superiority without saying what the visitor gets, so a first-time visitor cannot tell what changes for them in seconds.
Fix: Rewrite the h1 to state an outcome, e.g. "Stop the back-and-forth. Get meetings booked in one link." and move the vague claim into the subheadline.
2. Features listed instead of benefits
The copy leads with what the product is ("scheduling software", "all-purpose scheduling app") rather than what the visitor avoids or gains, which weakens the reason to act.
Fix: Replace "Your all-purpose scheduling app" and "With us, appointment scheduling is easy" with benefit lines such as "Fewer no-shows, zero double bookings, meetings booked without email ping-pong".
3. 29 text elements fail contrast
Light grey text such as "Personal scheduling made simple" at 3.5:1 is hard to read for many visitors, especially on phones in bright light, and it reduces trust in the design.
Fix: Darken the grey subheadline and small labels to at least 4.5:1 against their backgrounds, starting with the hero subheadline "A fully customizable scheduling software..." and the "No credit card required" note.
What the cal.com homepage does well
- The subheadline "A fully customizable scheduling software for individuals..." states plainly what the product is directly under the headline.
- Pricing is clear: the FAQ and plan details show the free tier and paid tiers at $16 and $37 per user per month.
- "No credit card required" sits right under the sign-up buttons, reducing the perceived risk of trying the product.
