slack.com pricing page teardown: 70/100
Landing page examples › Pricing page › slack.com
A strong, well-priced pricing page whose hero headline names a plan instead of a result, and whose first screen is crowded with 32 clickable elements that dilute the single GET STARTED action.
We ran slack.com/pricing through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 70/100, #4 of the 14 SaaS pricing page examples we scored (average 67). Its strongest area is Mobile (93), and its weakest is Value prop (40).
Audited on 2026-10-24 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and slack.com didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. No clear reason to choose Slack
The hero only asks visitors to 'Choose a paid plan built for businesses' and never says why Slack is worth paying for, so visitors compare prices instead of outcomes.
Fix: Add a reason-to-buy line under the headline, e.g. 'Replace email threads and status meetings with one place your whole team works in', and link 'Compare all features' only below the plan cards.
2. Product purpose is guessable
Nothing in the first screen says Slack is a messaging and collaboration tool; a visitor must infer it from the logo and the word 'chat' in the Free plan description.
Fix: Put a one-line definition in the subheadline: 'Slack is the messaging and collaboration hub where your team chats, shares files and runs workflows.' Keep 'Or start with the basics for free' as a secondary line.
3. Features listed, benefits missing
The first screen lists 'Unlimited message history' and 'Group meetings' as checkmarked features with no outcome attached, so the plan's value to a team is unstated.
Fix: Rewrite plan bullets as outcomes, e.g. 'Search every conversation your team has ever had' instead of 'Unlimited message history', and keep feature names in smaller print.
What the slack.com pricing page does well
- The headline is short, large and centered at 50 px, so it is the first thing read.
- Prices for all four tiers are shown in the first screen with clear USD per-user amounts and a visible 50% off offer.
- The purple GET STARTED button on Business+ has strong contrast (9.68:1) and a large 58 px height, making it the most visible action.
