vercel.com pricing page teardown: 68/100
Vercel's pricing layout is sleek and minimalist, but desktop action buttons sit below the fold and key tier guardrails—like Hobby's non-commercial restriction—are missing upfront.
We ran vercel.com/pricing through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 68/100, #9 of the 14 SaaS pricing page examples we scored (average 69). Its strongest area is Design (85), and its weakest is CTA (60).
Audited on 2026-10-18 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and vercel.com didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes
1. Primary plan CTAs are pushed below the fold on desktop
On a standard desktop viewport, the pricing cards display the price, intro copy, and feature bullets, but cut off right before the action buttons ('Start a free trial', 'Start deploying', 'Get a demo'). Users cannot convert without scrolling.
Fix: Reduce vertical whitespace around the H1 ('Scale your app, control your costs') and move the action buttons directly beneath the price and description, above the feature checklists.
2. Omission of Hobby tier's non-commercial licensing rule
The Hobby card says 'The perfect starting place for your web app or personal project' but fails to mention that commercial use is strictly prohibited. Commercial founders sign up for Hobby only to face abrupt account lockouts or forced upgrades.
Fix: Add explicit microcopy to the Hobby plan: 'Personal and non-commercial projects only. Commercial apps require Pro.'
3. Pro tier is displaced beneath Hobby on mobile viewports
Mobile visitors see the full $0 Hobby card and CTA first. Because cards stack vertically, the primary monetization engine ('Pro $20 /mo') is invisible without scrolling 600+ pixels down.
Fix: Add a horizontal plan switcher pill toggle ('Hobby | Pro | Enterprise') on mobile or place the 'Popular' Pro card first with a quick-switch toggle.
What the vercel.com pricing page does well
- Monochrome, technical aesthetic matches developer expectations for clean, minimalist tools.
- Clear separation of three clean archetypes: individual developer ($0), growing team ($20), and enterprise.
