vercel.com pricing page teardown: 71/100

Landing page examples › Pricing page › vercel.com

The page has a crisp headline and clear prices, but it never says in plain words what Vercel is, and its only first-screen button is a nav-style 'Products' label that the visitor cannot read as an action.

We ran vercel.com/pricing through PageCritic's landing page audit. It scored 71/100, #3 of the 14 SaaS pricing page examples we scored (average 67). Its strongest area is Speed & SEO (100), and its weakest is Value prop (53).

Audited on 2026-10-24 from desktop and mobile screenshots plus the page's HTML. The scores are an AI's opinion of conversion best practices, not measured conversion rates, and vercel.com didn't ask for this review. The page may have changed since.

Top 3 issues, with fixes

1. No clear value proposition for the visitor

The headline 'Scale your app, control your costs' is abstract; nothing above the fold states what the visitor gets from Vercel as a product, so the page leans entirely on the price cards to carry the message.

Fix: Add a subheadline under the h1 such as 'Deploy and host your web apps with global CDN, instant rollbacks and spend limits, starting free.' so the value is stated in one line before the plan cards.

2. No social proof on the first screen

Visitors deciding between a $0 and a $20 plan get no signal from other teams, logos or numbers before scrolling, so trust stays low at the moment of choice.

Fix: Add a short line of customer proof directly under the h1, for example a row of recognisable customer logos or a figure like 'Trusted by teams at ...', drawn from real customers.

3. Product category never named

Nothing says Vercel is a hosting or deployment platform; a first-time visitor must infer it from plan names and feature lists.

Fix: Put a category phrase near the top, e.g. a line above the h1 reading 'Frontend cloud for hosting and deploying web apps', or include it in the nav/logo area.
